As I have said many times the career of network marketing does require that you learn and improve on your skill set from knowing how to put on an effective presentation to also knowing people skills  and how to effectively get your message across.  So how do you make your presentation effective?  If you think that your presentation is all about slick closing skills you are approaching your presentation in the wrong manner.  When presenting your MLM business opportunity either to a group or one-on-one you need to keep it simple .

To be effective in your  business and your presentation should be about your prospect

and how you are going to make their lives better.  Always have this as your top priority when making a presentation to people and you will see dramatic improvements. Just as when you go to purchase something or look into a business opportunity yourself you don’t want to be manipulated and the same holds true for your prospect.

Another things to consider is that as you are growing your organization work to make others leader and presenter for a few reasons, one of which is you don’t want people relying  on you all of the time and secondly you want to make them more powerful leaders so that they can have more control of their success and destiny.

Well the intention would be to get the audience to agree but it is also to serve your prospects.  The world is not lead by the greatest people it is led by the greatest presenters.  As a great presenter you can have a greater impact on people’s lives be it for health, prosperity or overall well-being. If you are a good presenter and have good information to share with people you can have a dramatic effect on their lives.

In an effective presentation what you say is very important but how you say it has even more impact on people lives.   The knowledge comes through on how you say it because it shows on how much you care for your prospect.  When you generally care about someone you can’t really say the wrong thing.  .  If you are just caring about money you will screw it up.

So what are the best ways to make an effective presentation

First no one is born a natural presenter.  It is a learned skill  and remember to use these 10

1. Quality – your interest should always be in your prospect and don’t go beyond their understanding.  Do not talk about concepts or ideas that they will not understand.

Talk from the heart and see and watch if they are understanding what you are speaking about.  You can be talking about the business aspect of your business  but what if the person you are presenting is not primarily interested in the business aspect  but  may place more importance on the product that they will be representing.  You can ask a question like:  “When looking at a business what is the most important  to you”. They may say the money or they may say the product .  Once understood you emphasize and give them the information that most serves them in making the correct decision.   Remember when you keep their best interest in mind your intention to make sure you solve your prospect problem will be met.

2. Listen –  Listen to what your prospect says when you are presenting to them.  Many prospects will be coming from the place of confusion and may be linking your opportunity to others that they may have been involved with.  Understand if they have had past MLM business experience,  may need to understand  their past results and opinions of that  experience.  If they have had a undesirable experience let them know or communicate to them that  was a past experience and that this is not the same situation

Use language like “I can totally understand”  and help  put them in the present and not relate your MLM opportunity to that of their past.

3. Use the right amount of assertiveness.  You don’t want to be over assertive and pushy, but make sure your actions do illustrate that you do believe in what you are representing. It can be a fine line but you want to let them know that you totally believe in your product, your company and the industry but you don’t want to push them into doing something they are uncomfortable doing.  You also want to make sure you are illustrating powerful body language and facial expressions

4. You want to have direct communication.  In your presentation you want to be direct about what you are representing, the opportunity the product and working with your team and you don’t want to beat around the bush.  Once you understand your prospects needs you want to tailor your presentation to meet their needs.  This way you are in service and you are putting them first.

5. Also don’t  be presenting too often – if you see people  a few times a month you don’t want to always be presenting or offering them your opportunity.   Be real with them and make sure you are getting to know them and expanding the relationship.

6. Communicate easily.  When you are presenting your opportunity you don’t want there to be any stress in your voice and you don’t want to be jittery in your voice.  Make sure you are confident and know what you are presenting

7. Articulate.  Articulation in your presentation can make your presentation very effective. The speed and how you pause within your presentation is something that can make your presentation very effective.  The  clarity and how concise you are about making a point is very important for you don’t want to leave your prospect confused.  Don’t speak in a monotone voice, use pauses to stress a point or to pull the listener in and use variation in tone and volume.

8. Stress Importance Another very effective mechanism within your presentation  is to prepare your  listener for something that is more important.  Say things such as “ If there is anything that I am going to share with you today this is of most importance”  This sets them up to really pay attention to the next thing you are going to share with them and makes sure you get  your message across to them. It cause them to stop and really listen.

9. Using Bridges.  You can use what is called bridges to bring your  prospect from one part of the presentation to the next.  You can say things like  “this is the end of the business portion of the presentation  and now  id like to go onto the product” .  This way they are with you and are following  what is coming up next.

10. Tell the truth.  Always tell the truth when speaking to your prospect.  Remember that people will follow you but they may not always respect you. Always communicate the truth and never gossip.

11. Know what you are talking about. People will come to listen to your presentation if you really know your product, your company and your industry.  Don’t settle -learn it and share it and you will be most effective in your presentations.

12. Communicate at your prospects level.  Don’t use words and ideas that your prospect does not understand.  If you sense that you are speaking about something that they do not understand then recognize that in their facial expression, body language or the sudden quietness over the phone and ask them if you understand the term or idea and if you can clarify .

Ask questions to understand what they do know so you know how to explain things to them more effective way.
