How to write and use a Plan of Action will be critical to your success as a leader in the MLM Industry. 

An action plan can be either a simple plan or a grand plan but creating a workable Plan of Action is essential to your network

A Written Plan for Your MLM Busienss Is Key to Your Success

marketing business success.  Every plan is a set of steps, set in time leading to a desired outcome.   Each plan should be associated with an objective,  a goal or a project.  “The plan” can also be a smaller part to a larger or grand plan or Mission Statement.

Regardless of the size of the plan the step are the same.

Step one :  Write down the objective of the plan. What is the goal or outcome you are wanting to achieve or accomplish.

Step Two:  You must have a deadline.  If you do not have a specific date associated with the completion of your project it might go on forever.  Also if it is a part of a great plan, time frames can be missed and delayed in your master plan will create loss of business.  Write down the exact date when you need to complete your plan in insure the great amount of success.

Step Three is to take the general plan down to the specific.  Write down each step that it is going to take to accomplish the objective for this plan.

Step Four :  Determine how much time each step is going to take.  Most of the time people under estimate the time it is going to take to accomplish each specific step and therefore the completion date gets missed and disappointment and/or discouragement  sets in.  Remember that as you step through  the plan things will change and need to be changed, don’t get discouraged it’s just part of the process of success.  So next  on your written plan write down next to each specific step the specific amount of time it will take to complete that step.

Step Five:  Write down the day that you will be working on each specific step so that you have plan out the times appropriately and

Step Six is to add these steps and tasks  to your calendar so that the plan is clearly laid out and will not create any conflict on accomplishing your plan .

Step 7: Create a space on your written plan where you can check off the Steps being accomplished and date they are completed.

You Must Commit to Your Plan of Action

It is so easy to get distracted or interrupted from your plan so your commitment to your plan is critical.  It is from our concentrated committed actions that real change comes about.   So you must be committed, stick with the plan you have created,  and act on it.  If something get in your way of implementing your plan you must make up that time as soon as possible.  If you don’t you will lose momentum, hope and perhaps your overall objective.

Next check off each specific task as it gets accomplished. This will help you see that you are moving forward and getting closer to accomplishing your goal, motivating, encouraging and creating more self-determination.

Then you must record these accomplishments in your Business Journal.  Keep track of how things  are going and what you are learning. Acknowledge your successes and celebrate them as they happen.   Your Business Journal is a living document of your work,  successes and the lessons you are learning. When you record what you are doing and what you are learning you will have proof that you are capable  and can do it again.

 

Flexibility is also a critical element to your plan of action.  You must be willing to change your plan and its steps if necessary.   When you made your plan you based it on what you knew at the time but as you implement your plan things may not be as you thought, unexpected things, circumstances or awareness  might crop up.  You may have under or overestimated certain things,  but as we learn to better understand what we are trying to accomplish we will have to make adjustments to our plan.

Circumstances,  missed deadlines and people may let you down so again you must adjust your plans  so you can stay on track to achieve your goals.   To be successful at this you must have a method of keeping track of the changes to your plan. If your plan is a simple plan this can be done by simple writing in the changes on your action plan and entering the changes into your Business Journal.  If your plan is more complex you may need some type of software calendar or a project management software tool to keep track of all the adjustments and changes.   You may have to edit out some steps or add additional steps that are appropriate as they are discovered.
